Happy New Year! Praise be to God, 2022 was a fantastic year for our local Knights of Columbus Council, as the Knights were able to host community events, welcome our Catholic Hoos back to campus, celebrate life, give back to the community in need, and raise funds to support our continued ministry.

In August, we welcomed back our Catholic Hoos with a barbeque dinner prepared by the Knights! It was beautiful to see these amazing students come back to grounds ready to share and live their Catholic faith with the University community, and our Knights were thrilled to welcome them for the first time or as they returned from summer break.

As always, our Knights continue to raise funds for our many charities (including Coats for Kids in the wintertime, the Knights disability fund, the Shelter for Help in Emergency, LifeSpring Pregnancy Centers, and so much more, by doing our charity parking work at UVA Football and Basketball home games.

Coats For Kids also continued in 2022, as we provide warm winter coats for those children in need when the weather turns cold. Your help throughout the year, in addition to purchasing the Christmas Cards that the Knights offer during the Advent season, is one of the key reasons we are able to continue offering this beautiful, warming (and heartwarming) ministry.

Coming in 2023

We are looking forward to another year of fraternity, unity and service to the LORD and the Church in 2023! Be on the lookout for community events, donuts and coffee hosted by the Knights, our Lenten Soup Suppers, and much more in the New Year. From the Knights of Columbus Council #11324 to all of you, we wish you a blessed New Year filled with the abundance of our LORD’s love.

Be sure to check out the Knights’ station at the bottom of the stairs and purchase a box of Christmas cards this holiday season while also supporting the Knights!
